Bill – I would love to know what the actual cost is to light a field for three hours a night. UV-E typically has about four home games a year. If the cost was truly $20 per home game ($80 for the season), do you think it would have rescheduled games to Saturday for such a meager amount of savings?

Good article. The night games started in the south because of the heat during the day. To continue having night games while undergoing budget cuts is not too cool. All UVE home games games are in the daytime this year because of that. Maybe other schools should follow suit. What I miss though are the 10:30 AM Thanksgiving Day games. Would like to see them come back. Only a few schools still do that in the area.
