My son Devon Gould wrestles for S-E pee-wee club and recently we took a trip out to Salem, Mass for a wrestling tournament in which J.P. was a special guest. My son was fortunate enough to place first and was able to have his championship T-shirt signed by J.P.. There were well over 300 wrestlers at this tournament at J.P. Signed stuff for just about all of them plus the parents! He is truly a class act, and was pleasantly surprised by the showing of fellow NYers, not to mention being from the same county! It was a great honor to tell the people at the tournament that I grew up in the same area as him, and that I was able to watch him wrestle from middle school through his 2010 NCAA championship! People from Chenango county should be VERY proud to have a representative such as J.P. showing off the talent we breed here!

I've been amazed at the talent base this area has in wrestling. 3 national Div 1 collegiate champs in the span of a few years. Binghaton University really shot themselves in the foot when they got rid of the wrestling program a few years ago. Thankfully, they reinstated it, but they missed out on some amazing local wrestlers.
