Tyler – my entry is not directly germane to your insightful blog, although you did write about witnessing fatal car accidents during your life as a reporter. Our friend Carol Thoma, wo was killed June 18th in your County on S.R. 80, was there for an indeterminate time from Florida to be a caregiver to her sister. You could not have known this when you wrote the article about her fatal accident, nor could you be aware that my wife and I have never known a person more giving and less selfish than Carol Thoma. That, I guess, is the rest of the story.

To live a life with no Y’s in the road would be pretty boring in my opinion. Decisions made which may seem little at the time, can turn out to be huge further down the line. Enjoy the everchanging path and make sure to catch the little things. I’ve noticed that the older I get, I look back on the little things in life moreso than the big events.

Tyler, in all seriousness, you’ve written a thought provoking blog and pose two very interesting questions at its conclusion. Re-evaluation of our own lives in the past, and our future plans, help us to reach the deepest parts of our soul and help bring out our strengths and passions. While doing this, we must never lose sight of the present.
