To be upset by an apparent act of deception by the school board is an honest reaction to a dishonest act. Whether you are a reporter, or a citizen you would hold similar feelings especially if you are emotionally vested in the proceedings.
We live in a time where honesty seems to be considered “old fashioned” as evidenced by the corruption and greed of Washington and for us, Albany’s political leaders. Regardless of their announced intentions, elected officials are inherently “POLITICIANS” by nature. Their leadership will always be tempered by a Sentorian desire to “DO whats best” for whomever they serve.
You are justified in your feelings, and humble enough to admit your “transgression” if you can actually call it that. I would wager your eyes will never have the wool pulled over them again like it was in that meeting by those “trusted” politicians.
Lesson learned kiddo, and time to move on, add a little more reality to your life.
Sorry you had to learn this in this public a fashion, but it is an unavoidable lesson of life and the sooner it is learned, the quicker you are the better for it.

I understand your frustration. You have to put your feelings aside, yet you want what is best for the community. With that being said, I think you have done a great job at giving an unbiased look at what is happening in the Oxford Schools. The Superintendent has his agenda and he has been able to pull in 3 board members who seem to agree with him on everything. I truly believe if we stick together as a community, these board members will be voted out and the main cause of the corruption will leave the district.

When I read something about that board meeting in the back of my mind a dirty little idea raised it’s head and asked “I wonder what crap they are going to pull now”!! How can we expect these people to supposedly be the governing body of our school district and mold our children’s education when they themselves don’t seem to be able to grasp the meaning of the word NO!!!!
