Now that I am thinking about it, I have an awsome story about Avanced Auto Parts but from a different state. I was on the road (or should I say in the air) for two months and I had to leave a car in Greenville, SC. I asked an employee if he would run my car once a week just to run it, drive it around and do what ever. Well, by the time I could get back and reposition the car back to PA, it was covered in so much dust and dirt from sitting under a tree that I couldn't even see out the windows. Naturally it wouldn't even consider starting. Airport Police gave me a jump start and I had to consider my next move because I had a 13 hour drive. I started driving and decided to stop at an auto store (just so happened to be AA)after awhile hoping that the battery recharged. I would turn off the engine, wait a minute and restart the engine. If it didn't start, I was already at the store. Sure enough, it wouldn't start, not even turn over. I went in, purchased a battery and guess what...they installed it for me right there in front of the store. I'm thinking that this is a company mentality thing. It's funny how one company can have this type of mentality and another company in the same industry can have such a different one. Yes Stacy...kudos to Advanced Auto Parts everywhere!

I had a great experience with Advanced Auto as well a few weeks back when my battery died. This is a great place for customer service. He actually came out and installed the battery for me. I was relieved. It is hard to find good customer service anymore where people actually go out of their way to help. Kudos to Advanced Auto.

Perhaps a plug of their address and website might be in order as well as a personal letter to the higher ups promising now to first shop all your automotive needs in that store might go along way to ensure that the hero's employment continues?

So you're saying that there is still good ol' fashioned customer service out there? Wow! This is a nice story though. It just seems that anymore, the customer has to thank the merchant. I also love the fact that if you want to give cold hard cash to a business, they charge you a service fee. Having worked for United for so many years, try going to the ticket counter at the airport to pay cash for a flight and have to pay a twenty dollar service fee. Now do that for a family and see how fast that adds up. I've heard people say "I'm here to buy tickets because I couldn't understand "Steve" from India and "Steve" couldn't understand me either". Not picking on anyone here, just the latest business practices and the "bottom line". Glad you had a great experience!
