There used to be a reporter from the ES who attended every board meeting in McDonough. People would forget she was there, taking in all down–but they remembered the next day, when it came out in the paper. So what was a petty little quarrel aired before a handful of town people became the talk of the county!! Needless to say she is now longer an employee of the paper!!

Doesn’t every little Town have at least one ? We have two. Good thing that they that rarely ever show up at the same time . People come to meetings hoping that they will be there. Can’t beat good cheap entertainment on a week night . The “Walker Wisdom” can be smelled two rows back and in front. The entertainment gets really good if they happen to comment on the same thing because one won’t be “OUT WALKERED” by the other. If the whiff of the “Walker” doesn’t make you sappy eyed , trying not to laugh will make you cry or break out in a sweat . One way or the other , the make up will be running off the end of my chin so I never can leave my purse in the car.

I’ve seen town board meetings where the Chenango County Sheriffs deputies had to attend. And then they wonder why it’s so difficult to find anyone to run for public office!!
