This Superintendent and BOE treat everyone with disrespect. The teachers are treated very unprofessionally. The Administration doesn't even know the students. The disrespect by the Superintendent that Melissa saw is what the staff is subjected to all the time. I have a family member that works in the District and the atmosphere there is terrible. The Superintendent tells the BOE and the public that the teachers are recommending changes that they never even heard about. He counters what the teachers think and tries to hide the truth from everyone. The longer it goes on, the worse it will get. I am glad I don't pay taxes there anymore.

Maybe Oxford residents should be worrying about fixing your bridge. That way you can scurry students safely to and fro! Just a thought.

Another thought, is if the Superintendent is so bad, why not get rid of him. He works for you the taxpayer, its not the other way around.

For those of you that have yet to experience the demeanor of our Superintendent, come to a BOE meeting. This blog is true example of his actions. He lacks professionalism and Oxford deserves a Superintendent that truly looks out for the best interest of the students. The BOE needs to start realizing what type of person they are supporting as Superintendent before he starts to tarnish their image also.

As a person who constantly listens to the mantra of the Superintendant "one student at a time", and his never ending research he likes to spout it is easy to see that he is on a mission to have a building project as a resume builder. He needs a building project under his belt and the bigger the better! Who would think that just keeping up with the facilities and fixing and maintaining what you have would have ever been enough for the people of Oxford. Go figure until the other night I always assumed that it was the TEACHER who made the difference in the child's education not the building!!! Lets face it the man in charge is out of touch with a small town community and I'm begining to believe that his BOSS...aka the Oxford BOE are walking in lock step right behind him! It doesn't matter how many people came to a meeting where there were few answers that made any sense what really matters is how many show up on the day of the VOTE!! Don't trust all the research he spouts because he gave the district the same song and dance about why we needed the Professional Learning Periods because students needed more sleep etc. Well that sure makes a lot of sense now that we have PLP in the afternoon ...right?
The people of Oxford are very smart people and in the end they will do the right thing and they won't let the students suffer but they also won't fall for the lines either!!!

The school board members and Mr. Squire are totally out in left field with this project. First of all the declining enrollment, why should they even consider building anything new. In view of the financial situation in New York State the board and Mr.Squire are out of their friggen minds even to think about spending this kind of money. Mr. Squire has been wanting to change our schools from the first day he came here to work. If and when the taxes go up in Oxford,he'll be on his way to somewhere else and we the taxpayers will be stuck with his nonsense. The state has no money. Who do they think is going to pay for this? We at the ground level have to think about where we can save money instead of spending more. The answer that 98% will be covered by the state does not do it for me. Where does he think that money comes from? The tax payers, of course. And we are already being too highly taxed in this state. Here is my solution: Tell Mr. Squire very simply to get the hell out of Oxford if he doe not like the way our schools are.
