Jessie,
You make a note of the locations of all those "pumkin" signs, and I'll buy the eggs!

I too have a similar pet peeve. I blame it on 3 years worth of college English classes I had to take when I was working on a teaching degree. The two most notable "typos" I remember were:

1. On Route 12, between Norwich and Oxford, someone was selling "fresh local BLEWBERRIES. " talk about a word making something sound unappealing!

2. The building where the adult book store is in Norwich once sold window and door frames, things along those lines. Their CUSTOM MADE SIGN on top of the building told the county their goods were BUILDING SUPPLY'S. Now I guess I can accept that the person who hired someone to build this sign might have worded it in this manner. Shouldn't the people who make these signs have enough knowledge of the English language to realize that the manner it was worded shows possesion, and isn't the plural form of supply?
