American Idol, the sum of all teeny bopping creation combined with pop culture. I’d rather make my kids watch Sadam’s execution video. It’d probably do far less long term damage. It’s like some strange frankenstein monster that was created between reality TV and celebrity obsession climbed in to my living room and crushed my intellect with a sledge hammer.

None of the winners seem to get too far in their fifteen minutes of manufactured fame, and those who do are committing airwave pollution.

Isn’t there some kind of a commandment against Idolatry? Maybe we should alert the Bush administration. They’ll surely call for a Constitutional ammendment to make American Idol illegal if they realize it breaks a commandment, right? Alert Homeland Security! Quick! Tweak us all up to level orange or thereabouts.

I don’t even know what she sings, but I know who she is because she was supposedly dating Tony Romo. Sports. Now that’s real television. (haha)
And about your shopping cart comment–I’ve seen them in action. Dennis and I watched a woman try to take her cart from the parking lot at the Target near our apartment. She almost fell, and it took her about 2 minutes to figure out why she couldn’t go any further. It was quite humorous.
